Professor Shimokawa introduced to the group that Sound Wave Innovation’s proprietary Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound (LIPUS) treatment towards Alzheimer’s disease demonstrated to be effective and safe through animal experiments and exploratory human clinical trials, and was designated as the first “pioneering medical device” by the PMDA. The treatment is currently undergoing verification trials.
